$70m solar project to create 115 jobs
Spark Solar Australia, a Canberra-based company co-founded by Dr Michelle McCann (formerly with the Centre for Sustainable Energy Systems at ANU) plans to open a solar cell manufacturing plant in the ACT or Queanbeyan next year. The project has the potential to create 115 new jobs with exports worth more than $400 million to Europe's solar markets.
