Doing Well by Doing Good

Second year Bachelor of Engineering student, Grace Foo, was one of three ANU students that took part in the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) sustainability exchange programs earlier this year.

"Grace was inspired to think about sustainable engineering following her involvement in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge which was part of the 'Discovering Engineering' course last year," said Mr Jeremy Smith, Research Engineer in the Department of Engineering. Jeremy heads up the Canberra Chapter of Engineers Without Borders and hosts regular seminars and outreach activities for ANU staff and students on the role of engineering in developing countries.

Congratulations on flying the flag for sustainable engineering, Grace!
